SAT Practice Exam

SAT exam time is closer than you think!
 Teens come and take a realistic SAT practice exam on Saturday,Sept 10 10am-1:30 and see how you do. Test will be timed and proctored onsite.  Results will be immediate. The  The SAT exam is a 3 and 1/2 hour test, crucial for your college entrance applications.

Practice at the library and be ready for the REAL thing in October!!


Registration is recommended as space is limited. Go to www.sdcl.org and then click on Calendar of Events. Click on San Marcos teen events for Sept. Find the SAT practice exam program entry. Click registration. Call 760-891-3000 for more information.

SAT Exam Workshop

Teens....are you ready?

SAT exams are coming soon, so be prepared!!  We are having a SAT Exam Workshop on Thursday, Sept 8 4-5:30pm to help you ace your exam. 

Ms. Katie Stapko, a professional SAT tutor, will guide you with lots of tips and tricks to help improve your score:)
Workshop is free and handouts will be provided.

Teen B.Y.O.B (Bring Your Own Bookclub)

The Teen Book Club @ San Marcos Branch Library is back in session! Bring Your Own Book! That's right, just bring the book YOU are reading. Snacks and laughter:)

The next club meeting will be Sunday, Sept 28 from 3-4:30pm. Intelligent and Interesting.

Teens Decorate School Binders!

Hey teens....it's almost time for school to start... so come by the library Tues August 23 @4:00pm to Decorate new School Binders...we'll have stickers, paint markers, and more stuff to personalize you and your binder's return to school. Bring your fav photos of friends and we can add that to the mix!!

Action Teen Media Arts Workshop!!

All Teens are invited to a new Media Arts Workshop:
 August 10, 11, 12 @ 2-5pm for 3-3hr sessions.

This is a professional, intensive video production and editing workshop presented by the El Cajon Media Arts Center "FabLab" team. 


Teens will learn super "movie-making" skills while creating a public relations demo reel of San Marcos Library Summer Reading events that will be shown in the library lobby to visitors.


The Media Arts Workshop is free and we have FlipCameras for teens to use. Sign-up for all 3 sessions is required. Sign-up with Ms. Margo San Marcos Teen Librarian or call 760-891-3000 for more information.

Action Teen Meeting TODAY:)

Action Teen Meeting is today Wed. August 3 from 3-5 pm.

Come help plan events for the fall, as well as find out what's going this Friday with our final Summer Reading Party/Teen Lock-In. Also don't forget we have a great opportunity coming up August 11,12, and 13 with the FabLab video instruction team from El Cajon. We'll be talking more about the Media Arts Workshop and how to sign-up and learn some mad video production and editing skills. Snacks and laughter!
